PERFORM UNDER PRESSURE
Confidential one-to-one support for those preparing for, stepping into and carrying greater responsibility and accountability.
Perform Under Pressure provides independent support for senior executives and leaders — helping them develop, sustain performance and wellbeing, and navigate increasing pressure, expectations and accountability with greater clarity, perspective and confidence.
WHY PERFORM UNDER PRESSURE MATTERS
As responsibility and accountability increase, the demands placed on judgement, communication and composure become more complex.
Capable people may find themselves making decisions with incomplete information, managing competing expectations and leading others while carrying sustained pressure themselves.
Perform Under Pressure provides confidential, independent support around those realities — creating space to step back, think clearly and remain effective as circumstances and expectations evolve.
Pressure does not simply test capability.
It changes how people think, communicate and decide.
Pressure reveals existing habits. Perspective creates the opportunity to change them.

Communication

The capacity to remain considered, credible and effective when pressure, scrutiny or uncertainty increases.
Composure

Maintaining perspective, capacity and personal effectiveness through sustained responsibility, workload and pressure.
Sustain Performance

WHAT MAKES THE PATHWAY DIFFERENT
Structured preparation. Individual application. Continuing support.
Perform Under Pressure combines a clear developmental structure with confidential one-to-one support.
The learning introduces practical ideas, tools and approaches. The individual conversations then connect them directly to the participant’s role, circumstances and current pressures.
This means the pathway is neither abstract learning removed from real responsibility, nor a series of conversations without a clear developmental direction.
NOT COACHING IN ISOLATION
Individual conversations are part of a wider structured pathway, rather than disconnected sessions without continuity or shared direction.
NOT A GENERIC COURSE
This pathway is shaped around the realities of leadership, pressure and greater responsibility.
The supportive structure creates direction. The individual relationship makes it relevant.
HOW PERFORM UNDER PRESSURE WORKS
A six month relationship of one-to-one support.
Perform Under Pressure provides 12 confidential one-to-one sessions over six months, convened fortnightly.
This creates the continuity to work meaningfully with the individual as responsibilities, circumstances and priorities evolve — rather than treating development as a series of isolated conversations.
Built around the individual.
The work is centred on the individual and the real leadership challenges they are carrying.
Conversations may explore live decisions, relationships, pressure, communication, leadership, personal effectiveness or simply provide the independent perspective needed to think more clearly.
Relevant learning, practical tools and supporting material can be introduced throughout the relationship where they add value.
Focused on development, sustainability and wellbeing.
Shaped around the realities of responsibility and pressure.
INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT AND CONFIDENTIALITY
Personal in its application. Clear in its boundaries.
INDEPENDENT PERSPECTIVE
Sitting outside the organisation and reporting line creates space to think openly, test assumptions and work through challenges away from immediate organisational pressures and expectations.
CONFIDENTIAL SESSIONS
Where this is sponsored by an organisation, the purpose and any objectives are clear from the outset, while the content of conversations remains confidential, to protect the trust and candour on which the work depends.
Clear boundaries protect trust, openness and the quality of the work.
PRACTICAL ARRANGEMENTS
Designed to fit around the realities of greater responsibility and accountability.
HOW IT'S DELIVERED
Twelve confidential one-to-one sessions, delivered remotely and arranged around the individual's responsibilities and availability.
TIMING AND PACE
Sessions are held fortnightly providing continuity while allowing time for reflection, application and changing circumstances between conversations.
ORGANISATIONAL ENGAGEMENTS
Perform Under Pressure can support individual leaders or a number of selected people across an organisation.
Where the organisation sponsors the engagement, objectives, expectations and confidentiality boundaries are agreed clearly at the outset.
The number of coaching relationships is deliberately limited to protect quality, continuity and individual attention.
CLIENT PERSPECTIVE
“Working with John challenged how I think about leadership, helping me simplify complexity, improve operational flow and maintain composure under stress.
The impact extended beyond me, creating greater alignment and efficiency across the team and strengthening our overall performance and resilience.”

Preparing someone for greater accountability begins before the pressure becomes real.
An initial conversation provides an opportunity to consider the individual, the responsibility they are preparing for and whether Perform Under Pressure would be the right fit.
